Inspired by an artefact crucial to the history of the city in which I work:

The Canterbury Cross proper is an ancient saxon relic, and dates from the 8th century; the original was found in a street in the city in the mid-19th century, and has since become synonymous with both Canterbury and its Cathedral. I love the shape of it and the patterning that decorates it; the version I’ve drawn is a simplification.

In other news I’d like to give further shout-outs to for liking Aaron, Nonoy Manga, Lois Elsden, Ash N. Finn and Anna for liking Cat Chatter, and to Marney for liking Ouroboros Knotwork.
