A while ago posted a drawing of a parasol and mentioned that I’d have liked to have added a pattern to it. This is what the pattern might have looked like, or what I might have used as its starting point; it was sketched out in pen and then painted using black and orange inks:

I do like this image, but I rather wish I’d had had the courage to have painted the orange flowers without drawing an outline first; the thick black line works to a point, but without it, it could have been a more delicate image and perhaps that would have been a better outcome.
