Today I drew a very quick continuous-line biro sketch of a winter tree:

There’s a looseness about doing swift biro sketches that’s quite enjoyable, although it isn’t my preferred medium; I find that when using this method I don’t overthink the image so much and it ends up coming more naturally.

In other news I’ll be taking a brief hiatus from the blog, this time because tomorrow I’m going to be in France and then going on to spend a few days working with the brilliant Alex Procter on our poetry project. As before, the returning post will be a multiple one to account for the days missed.
